Walkaround
No more “that scratch was already there”.
An automation concept for car rental agencies: staff take the same photos at pickup and at return, AI circles new damage and drafts a priced report, and a manager approves before anything is charged.

Pickup and return side by side, with new damage circled
1 / 8The challenge
At return time, a customer insists a scratch was already there, and staff compare photos by eye. Some disputes end with the agency paying for the repair, others with an unhappy customer, and both slow the return desk down.
The approach
A guided phone capture tells staff where to stand for each of 8 angles, so pickup and return photos line up. AI compares each pair, circles new damage and recognises marks already on file. It drafts a report with before and after photos and prices each item from the branch’s repair table. Nothing is charged automatically: the manager approves, adjusts or dismisses every item, and the customer receives a copy with every photo and timestamp.
Designed around

- New damage circled, with a confidence score
- Damage already on file recognised and not charged
- A draft report priced from the branch repair table
- Manager approval before any charge
- A printable customer copy with photos and timestamps
- Branch insights on disputes avoided and charges recovered
