Money often lives in several places at once: US dollars in the bank, Lebanese pounds in cash, savings set aside, and bills that have not cleared yet. Keeping a true picture usually means a spreadsheet that quickly falls out of date.
The approach
Each account keeps its own currency, and balances are calculated from transactions rather than stored separately, so available, pending, and total amounts always stay in sync. Balances are grouped by currency and never mixed, and recurring income and bills are recorded automatically on schedule.
