1 / 8The challenge
Cooking from a phone means scrolling a long page with flour on your hands, losing your place, and redoing the maths every time you cook for more people. Family recipes are harder still: they live in a notebook, a voice message or one person’s memory.
The approach
Mezze shows one step per screen, with a large illustration and short instructions, and moves on when the cook says “next step”, so the phone stays untouched. Each step can start its own timer, and several can run at once. Quantities are stored as real measures, so changing the servings rescales them with the rounding a cook would use. Family versions sit next to the classic recipe with the family’s own notes, in English, French or Arabic.

- Family recipes kept next to the classics
- English, French and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout
