Gate
Scan, green, next.
A ticketing concept for concerts, conferences, university events and private parties: organizers send QR tickets and follow RSVPs, door staff scan with their phones, even offline, and every gate stays in sync.

The door scanner and a valid ticket: scan, green, next
1 / 8The challenge
At the door of an event, the queue grows while staff scroll a printed guest list. Screenshots of the same ticket get shared, the venue’s network drops when the room fills up, and nobody knows how many people are actually inside.
The approach
Each guest gets a personal QR ticket by email or SMS. Door staff scan with their own phones, and each result reads at a glance: green to admit, red for a ticket already used, violet for VIP. Every phone keeps a copy of the guest list, so scanning works offline and syncs when the connection returns, and gates share each scan, so a ticket used at one door is refused at the next. The organizer follows attendance live and gets a report after the event.
Designed around
- Personal QR tickets sent by email and SMS
- RSVP tracking and guest-list search
- Phone scanning with results that read at a glance
- Offline scanning that syncs later
- Several gates in sync, with no double entry
- VIP and ticket-type flags
- Live attendance and a report after the event
